in the mail or through an automatic transfer into your bank account
(if you are set up for EFT with the City). Please allow 6-8 weeks
for processing your application.

Have a water and/or sewer account in good standing with the Charlottetown Water & Sewer Utility
Submit a rebate application to the Charlottetown Water & Sewer Utility within six months of the purchase of your clothes washer
Submit a copy of your purchase receipt for the clothes washer
a copy of your EnerGuide rating sheet. An EnerGuide rating sheet will
be provided to you when you purchase a new clothes washer (see
example below). This sheet will provide the estimated kWh use per
year of your appliance and include the Energy Star symbol if your
clothes washer is certified. Please provide a copy of this sheet
when you submit your application. In cases where applicants do not
provide a copy of this sheet, it will be necessary for Utility staff
to complete an in-home inspection to ensure that the clothes washer
is Energy Star certified.

dropping off used appliances and the clothes washer will be recycled

The City of Charlottetown - Water & Sewer Utility will not honour rebates for clothes washers that do not meet the minimum eligibility requirements listed above. Please verify that you have purchased an eligible model.
