2015-02-19 - Charlottetown Parking Restrictions to Remain in Place

The City of Charlottetown parking restriction will remain in place until further notice. The restriction applies to all parking on all city streets. As streets are cleared and parking spaces are available, vehicles will be permitted to park in legal/metered spaces. Vehicles impeding traffic or snow removal operations will be ticketed and towed, including vehicles parked in spaces that are still snow filled or on streets that where snow removal is still taking place.

The overnight parking ban remains in effect until April 15. Vehicles parked on City streets between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. will be ticketed and towed if impeding snow removal or de-icing.

Motorists are encouraged to carpool or take advantage of transit until the parking restriction is lifted. The transit schedule is available at triustransit.ca. Parking spaces have also been cleared at the Peakes Quay parking lot, the Railyard lot, Queens Wharf lot, and the Grafton Street lot across from the Charlottetown Event Grounds.
