2015-03-04 - Registration Deadline Looming for Ball Hockey Program

The City of Charlottetown Parks and Recreation Department is offering a seven-week Ball Hockey Program from April 1 until May 16. The program will focus on fun, skill development and games. It will take place at the Cody Banks Arena.

Space is limited. The registration deadline is March 20.

The program will run on the following schedule for the following ages:

5 – 7 year olds (Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. – 6:25 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. – 9:55 a.m.)
8 – 10 year olds (Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. – 7:25 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. – 10:55 a.m.)
11 – 12 year olds (Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m. – 8:25 p.m. and Saturdays 11 a.m. – 11:55 a.m.)

To register online, visit www.charlottetown.ca and click on "Program Online Registration" under the Quick Links menu on the right.

Registrations are also being accepted at the Charlottetown Parks and Recreation office at City Hall, 199 Queen Street, during regular business hours (Mon – Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.).

The cost to register is $40 for City residents and $55 for non-residents. The fee includes a T-shirt and playing twice a week. A wrap-up event will be held on Saturday, May 16 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., which will include food and refreshments. 

Participants must bring a stick and are required to wear a helmet and mask, gloves, a Jack or Jill strap, and sneakers.
