Charlottetown City Council will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, August 12 at 7 p.m. at the Malcolm Darrach Community Centre (1 Avonlea Drive).
The public meeting will be to hear comments on the following:
413 St. Peter’s Road (PID# 419135) and vacant property on Angus Drive (PID# 419143)
A request to consider rezoning 413 St. Peter’s Road (PID# 419135) from Low Density Residential (R-2) to Mixed Use Corridor (MUC) and P (Parking), and the vacant property on Angus Drive (PID# 419143) from Single Detached Residential (R-1L) to Mixed Use Corridor (MUC) and P (Parking), and to amend the Future Land Use Map of the Official Plan from Low Density Residential to Commercial. The purpose of this request is to create additional parking for a proposed 1200 sq. ft. expansion to Mel’s Petro-Canada, to facilitate better traffic circulation on site and to create a new, safer entrance/exit to Mel’s from Angus Drive for vehicles.
Anyone wishing to view the proposal prior to the public meeting may do so at the Planning Department, 233 Queen Street, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday to Friday. Please have any written comments submitted to the Planning Department by 12 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, August 12. Comments may also be submitted through email to email@example.com
