The Victoria Park Roadway (both lanes) will be closed to all traffic beginning Monday, November 8 until further notice.
It is anticipated the full closure will be in place for a week. An update will be issued the following week.
Pedestrian traffic will continue to be permitted on the boardwalk with signage in place to direct pedestrians around the section that is under construction.
This closure is necessary for the continuation of the Victoria Park Boardwalk construction.
The work on the boardwalk is expected to take place until the end of November. The scope of the work includes: removal of the old boardwalk; improving the drainage; upgrading the stringers; upgrading the decking to a marine-grade lumber; widening the boardwalk from eight feet to 10 feet; and upgrading the material below and behind the benches.
The Parks and Recreation Department apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks the public for their continued cooperation.
