The City of Charlottetown Fire Department has completed the Fort McMurray Boot Drive challenge from the Crossroads Fire Department. The challenge was to raise money for fire service members affected by the wild fires in Fort McMurray.
Charlottetown firefighters accepted donations at the Atlantic Superstore on May 20 and raised nearly $2,000.
All monies raised by Island fire departments participating in the challenge will go directly to the Fort McMurray fire service members who have lost their homes while they were protecting others.
