The City of Charlottetown’s Garden Tours begin on Monday, July 11, with a guided walking tour of public gardens in the Capital City.
The Charlottetown Garden Tour will be available twice daily, seven days a week at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. throughout July and August. The tour will start at City Hall (199 Queen Street), and there is no cost to participate. The tour will include 12 stops and feature community gardens, landmarks and gardens in parks and on street corners. The walking tour takes about an hour and a half and each participant is provided with a brochure, which includes a map and description of each stop.
"Charlottetown is in full bloom and there is so much color around the City at this time of year," said Charlottetown Mayor Clifford Lee. "We are very excited to offer these complimentary tours for the second year. We encourage residents and visitors to participate and take a moment to appreciate the beautiful and vibrant sights."
