The City of Charlottetown, in partnership with Tree Canada, planted more than 50 trees in Victoria Park to celebrate National Tree Day on Wednesday, September 21. National Tree Day is as a celebration for all Canadians to appreciate the great benefits that trees provide us - clean air, wildlife habitat, reducing energy demand and connecting with nature. Premiers in each Province across Canada participated in a tree planting to celebrate National Tree Day. Tree Canada, along with their sponsor TELUS, has planted almost 80 million trees in hundreds of communities throughout Canada.
