Farm Day in the City presented by the PEI Potato Farmers will take place this Sunday (October 2) from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. The public is invited to join farmers, producers, crafters and artists from across PEI for the Island’s largest outdoor market of the year and the Grand Finale to the month-long Fall Flavours Festival.

Fall in love with the tastes of the harvest season and spend the day in downtown Charlottetown being entertained by local musicians, artisan demonstrations, face painting, balloon twisting and more. This free open-air market takes place on Queen Street, from Grafton to King, along Victoria Row and on the Confederation Centre Plaza.

In order for this fantastic event to take place, a number of road closures are required. Motorists are advised that on Sunday, October 2, from 4 a.m. until 9 p.m., the following streets will be closed to all traffic, with no parking permitted on either side of these streets:

•         Queen Street between Grafton Street and King Street;
•         Richmond Street between Pownal Street and Great George Street;
•         Sydney Street between Pownal Street and Great George Street;
•         And Dorchester Street between Pownal Street and Great George Street;

For persons with disabilities, Farm Day in the City will have accessible washrooms on-site and the elevator and accessible washrooms within the Confederation Centre of the Arts are also available. The upper Plaza vendors at the Confederation Centre location are accessible via the elevator inside or ramps outside. Accessible parking is also available in the downtown core, near the event. Farm Day is a product of Discover Charlottetown.
