The City of Charlottetown and students from Queen Charlotte Junior High School joined forces to plant more than 150 trees and shrubs in Miltonvale as part of the reforestation efforts taking place on the City’s new 206-acre wellfield property. Funding for the project was provided by the PEI Wildlife Conservation Fund with trees from the Greening Spaces Program. The event also gave students an opportunity to learn about Charlottetown’s new water station, see a watershed demonstration and participate in a nature walk to identify trees and recognize the importance of tree planting.
