2018-01-04 - Early Closure for City Hall Administrative Offices

Due to the current and forecasted weather, City Hall and its administrative offices will be closing at 2:00 p.m.

Cody Banks Arena, Simmons Sports Centre and the four City of Charlottetown Community Centres are all closing as of 2:00 p.m. The Circuit Fitness program, scheduled for this evening at the West Royalty Community Centre, has also been cancelled due to the weather.

All scheduled tender openings planned for 2 p.m. today (Thursday) will be delayed until 2 p.m. on Friday, January 5.and  take place in City Hall, Council Chambers.

Residents are encouraged to sign up for the Charlottetown Alert System. The primary goal of the alert system is to notify residents of emergency situations, such as evacuations and severe weather impacts. The system will also be used for informing the public about the location of emergency shelters as well as other vital, time-sensitive information. The alert system is subscription based and residents can choose how they receive messages, such as by phone, text or email.
