"Islander Day was established to give families a short winter break and, in Charlottetown, we saw it as a prime opportunity to provide some free programming that allows citizens to celebrate with friends and family," said Charlottetown Mayor Clifford Lee. "Our activities are for all ages and open to anyone who wants to join in the fun."

Islander Family Fun Day kicks off at Simmons Sports Centre at 9:30 a.m. with a free family skate. New this year, families can take in their choice of two movies at City Cinema. The Guild will once again feature an energetic, family-based show featuring talented young Islanders –   singers, dancers, musicians, and more. Performances begin at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. with seating offered on a first-come basis.
