Are you good at fixing things? The City of Charlottetown is hosting a Fix It Fair in March to connect Charlottetown residents with community resources, teach practical repair skills and provide opportunities to learn about different ways to practice sustainability. This free event will be held at Murphy’s Community Centre on Saturday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include a Repair Café, workshops, demonstrations, information booths and more.
The City is looking for people with repair skills to volunteer as "fixers" at the Repair Café to help fix of all kinds of household items including clothing, small household appliances, electronics, jewelry, etc. The role of the fixer is not only to repair broken items but also to share knowledge so participants can perform similar repairs at home.
