It’s the final day for submitting a nomination for 2012 the City of Charlottetown’s Veterans Recognition Awards. The recipients will be announced at the end of October. Submissions will be accepted today (Friday, October 12) until 5 p.m.
Those eligible for nomination include men and women living within City limits who served in the Armed Forces of Canada during the Second World War, the Korean War or in a Special Duty Area, which is generally referred to as a peacekeeping mission. Everyone selected for an award will be notified by mail and presented the award at a private event.
Forms can be picked up at the reception desk on the second floor of City Hall at 199 Queen Street or downloaded at: http://www.city.charlottetown.pe.ca/news.php?id=588 in the News and Notices section of the City’s homepage.
Completed forms can be dropped off at City Hall in the Mayor’s Office at 199 Queen Street.
