2014-07-28 - Tickets on Sale for Senior & Master Men’s Canadian Fast Pitch Championships

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, July 25, 2014 – For six days this summer, Charlottetown will be home to Canada’s prestigious Canadian senior men’s and men’s masters fast pitch championships. Beginning today, tickets for the 2014 Senior & Master Men’s Canadian Fast Pitch Championships are now available for purchase online!
"This is another incredible opportunity for Charlottetown as we look forward to extending our warm hospitality to athletes and fans of the championships and wish all teams well in their competition for the national titles," said Mayor Clifford Lee. "I would also like to commend the efforts of the organizing committee on their hard work in planning this prestigious event and I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy some great softball action!"
Charlottetown was awarded the hosting rights to the 2014 Canadian Senior Men’s Fast Pitch Championship in 2013. Earlier this year, the City of Charlottetown was approached by Softball Canada to host the inaugural Canadian Master Men’s Championship in conjunction with the Senior Men’s event. This unique co-hosting is in recognition of Softball Canada’s 50th anniversary as a national sport organization.
Taking place August 26th – 31st, this event will include some the best provincial/ territorial senior men’s and master men’s teams from across the country each vying for their respective championship titles. If the 2014 event is anything like the successful softball events previously hosted in Charlottetown, it will attract hundreds fans, family and friends from across Canada in addition to the over 400 athletes and officials participating.
"Being able to see the highest caliber of men’s softball being played in our own backyard is an experience that spectators won’t soon forget," said Carol Mayne, Chair of the event’s Local Organizing Committee. "Our volunteer organizing committee has been working hard to plan an outstanding event for fans, sponsors and the community to enjoy."
All games will take place at the newly twinned Central Field Complex in Charlottetown.
Full event passes ($49 each and provides access to every senior and master men’s games, including play-offs and medal-round) are now available for purchase online at http://championship.softball.ca/seniormens/event-info/tickets.html.
Tickets ordered online will be available for pick up onsite at Central Field beginning Tuesday, August 26th.
Adult Day passes ($10), Student & Senior (60+) Passes ($5), and Evening Passes ($5) will only be available for purchase onsite during the event. These tickets will go on sale beginning Tuesday, August 26th at Central Field.

The corporate community is also being solicited to purchase packages and sponsor the event.
