2014-09-09 - Manitoba Minister and City Officials Meet on Conservation Initiatives

The Manitoba Minister of Conservation and Water Stewardship met with Charlottetown officials and staff today to discuss water conservation programs and initiatives being implemented in Charlottetown.

The Manitoba Minister, Gord Mackintosh, is on PEI today for the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment. He requested a meeting at City Hall as part of his visit.

Minister Mackintosh met with chair of the City’s Water and Sewer Utility Committee Councillor Edward Rice; CAO Roy Main; Utility Manager Craig Walker; Sustainability Officer Ramona Doyle; and Utility Projects Officer Betty Pryor.
