2014-11-24 - Free Tickets For Upcoming Christmas Concerts Spoken For

Tickets for the City of Charlottetown’s two Wintertide Holiday Festival Christmas concerts – A John Gracie Christmas and A Christmas to Remember – are ‘sold out’.

The tickets were free and made available to the public on the weekend. Within an hour, all of the tickets for both shows were picked up.

Anyone who has tickets they are no longer able to use is asked to drop them off at Charlottetown City Hall, 199 Queen Street. Those without tickets who still wish to attend are encouraged to check periodically with City Hall by calling 902-566-5548. Please note that there is no guarantee any unused tickets will be returned. Those wishing to attend can also check at the door of Trinity United Church on the evening of each concert as unused tickets are often returned the night of the performances.

A John Gracie Christmas is an annual Christmas concert featuring ECMA artist John Gracie and special guest Samantha Gracie. The concert is presented on Friday, December 5 at 7 p.m. at Trinity United Church and promises to be a magical evening of classic Christmas songs.

A Christmas to Remember features popular Christmas and holiday music performed by some of PEI’s finest singers the reading of well-known Island Christmas stories. This new holiday performance is taking place Saturday, December 6, 7:00 p.m. also at Trinity United Church.

The Christmas events noted are two of many events included in the City of Charlottetown's annual Wintertide Holiday Festival.  The events are a collection of seasonal celebrations and recreational activities taking place from November 2014 until January 2015.  Events are coordinated by the City of Charlottetown, community organizations, groups and residents. The festival also adds spirit and sparkle to Charlottetown's nighttime sky through the thousands of lights presented in seasonally themed displays in the Capital region.
