The Charlottetown Water and Sewer Utility and its committee Chairperson, Councillor Edward Rice, wishes to congratulate Jack (John) Stewart of Wedgewood Avenue for voluntarily switching to metered water service.
Mr. Stewart is the recipient of a $100 credit toward fees charged to his residential water and sewer bill. His name was randomly drawn for participating in the Utility’s Take Control 2014 program and for being within the first 100 customers to sign up since the Utility reached its initial goal of 1000 applicants for the voluntary meter program.
Mr. Stewart was presented with the recognition by Utility Projects Officer Betty Pryor.
The Take Control 2014 program will continue until December 31, 2014 with the ongoing offer of free water meters and free installation. Additional draws for $100 credits will be made for each group of 100 customers who sign up for a water meter between now and December 31.
