Charlottetown Mayor, Clifford Lee has issued a friendly challenge to Quebec Mayor, Regis Labeaume over the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League seven game playoff series between the Charlottetown Islanders and the Quebec Remparts.
The series begins on Friday, April 10 at the Colisee Pepsi Arena in Quebec City. Charlottetown will host games three, four and five at the Eastlink Centre.
"I have issued a public challenge to my friend, Mayor Labeaume, that if the Charlottetown Islanders win the series he wear the Charlottetown Islanders’ jersey at City Hall for a day and in the same respect if the Quebec Remparts win I will wear their jersey," said Mayor Clifford Lee. "Mayor Labeaume and I have a great friendship and connection through a partnership as part of the 2014 celebrations and I am excited to see how this hockey series plays out."
