The Official Ceremonies will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the day will conclude with a fireworks display at 10 p.m.
"We invite residents and visitors to join us in the Capital City to celebrate Canada Day," said Charlottetown Mayor Clifford Lee. "We have activities and music for all ages to enjoy and encourage everyone to join us for the fireworks display at the end of the evening."
Family activities in Victoria Park will include: balloon twisting, face painting, bouncy rides, horse and wagon rides, a petting zoo and a food vending area. The Victoria Park swimming pool, splash pad and playground will also be available for use.
There will be a 10-hour live outdoor concert, which will include performances by a variety of artists. A further announcement will be made with more details closer to the event.
