2016-06-16 - Public Meeting to be Held June 27

Charlottetown City Council will hold a public meeting on Monday, June 27 at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall (199 Queen Street). The meeting will be to hear comments on the following two items:

275 Kent Street, 281 Kent Street, 285 Kent Street, and 295-297 Kent Street
Request to amend the Downtown Neighbourhood (DN) Zone as it pertains to 275 Kent Street (PID# 344861), 281 Kent Street (PID# 344887), 285 Kent Street (PID# 344895), and 295-297 Kent Street (PID# 344911) in order to permit an Educational Institution use. The properties are currently owned and used by Holland College. The purpose of the amendment is to ensure the properties uses are consistent with the Zoning & Development Bylaw’s regulations.

305 Kent Street (PID# 345140)
Request to consider an amendment to Appendix "H" – Zoning Map of the City of Charlottetown Zoning and Development Bylaw to rezone the property at 305 Kent Street (PID #345140) from the Downtown Neighbourhood (DN) Zone to the Institutional (I) Zone. The property is currently owned and used by Holland College. The purpose of the rezoning is to ensure the property’s use is consistent with the Zoning & Development Bylaw’s regulations.


Written comments must be submitted to the Planning Department by 12 p.m. (noon), on Monday, June 27, 2016. Comments may also be submitted through email to planning@charlottetown.ca.
