The City of Charlottetown is proud to be partnering with go!PEI to offer a free community walk on Thursday, September 22 beginning at 5:00 p.m. The walk will start at the Victoria Park Boardwalk near Terry Fox Drive. Participants can walk as far along the boardwalk as they like and then return to the starting point for some light refreshments and healthy snacks. Door prizes will also be awarded to everyone who signs up.
This event is a part of the Island wide Steps Out challenge, being offered by go!PEI. The challenge, which runs until October 15, was created to encourage all Islanders to get active, have fun and win some great prizes, including a chance at free entry to the PEI Marathon’s 5k or 10k event.
There is still time to sign up for the challenge and for more information and a list of other community walks, visit: www.gopei.ca/walk. City staff will have information during the event on how you can sign up for the remainder of the challenge.
For more information on this event please call the Parks and Recreation office at 902-368-1025.
