Two organizations are visiting Charlottetown next week to raise awareness for the essential role of green stormwater management when adapting to increased stormwater flows due to climate change. Green Communities Canada, with their program "Rain Community Solutions", as well as Sustainable Prosperity, will be traveling from Ontario to Charlottetown to share their research and their programs with local organizations. The workshop is aimed at local decision-makers, including municipal engineers, planners, developers, community organizations and service providers. Participants will learn about practical ways to implement and finance green infrastructure for stormwater management on both public and private land and how they can increase their community’s resilience to climate change.
The half-day workshop will take place on Tuesday, October 25 at the Rodd Charlottetown (Provinces Room) from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
