2014-03-07 - Register for March Break and Spring Activity Programs

The City of Charlottetown’s Parks and Recreation Department is organizing a variety of fitness and activity programs during March break and throughout the spring.

A March Break Youth Activity Drop-in Program will be held in the mornings the week of March 17 – 21 for children in kindergarten to Grade 6 at the Hillsborough Park Community Centre. A fee of $2 per child, per morning, applies and the program includes lunch and refreshments. Pre-registration is not required, however children must be signed in each day by a parent or legal guardian.

A seven-week, Ball Hockey Program will begin on April 2, continuing until May 17. The program will focus on fun, skill development and will also include games. Groups will be divided according to age levels, dictating what time a particular program is run. A fee of $40 (City resident) and $55 (non-resident) will apply and all participants will receive a t-shirt. Registration is now open online as well as in-person. You are encouraged to register early as space is limited.

Registration is also open for Spring Fitness Sessions running from mid-March until the end of May. Fitness programs are offered for all levels, including classes for adults and seniors.  Classes take place at three locations: the West Royalty Community Centre, Park Royal United Church and Trinity United Church. Seniors’ registration is $39.90; adult evening class registration is $68.40 (City resident) and $85.50 (non-resident). Morning fitness classes held at the West Royalty Community Centre will be $79.80 (City resident) and $96.90 (non-resident). Please note that all fitness registration costs include HST.
