The snowbanks are receding quickly with the warmer weather upon us, however not all snowbanks are stable. The City is advising the public that while enjoying City parks, they should stay on well-travelled paths until the snow has melted.
Many of the City of Charlottetown parks properties have drainage swales to help conduct water either through or around the park. Currently many of these drainage swales are buried under deep snow and are not visible. The Parks and Recreation Department wishes to alert the public that when the snow starts to melt, there can be water hidden beneath the snow cover.
