The City of Charlottetown is proud to be partnering with go!PEI to offer a Let’s Walk Challenge Kick-off Event in the city to help increase the walking culture on PEI.
Deputy Mayor Stu MacFadyen will lead the walk, which will begin at City Hall on Friday, May 9 at 12 p.m. The route will continue along the Victoria Park Boardwalk to the cannons and return to City Hall. Refreshments and a healthy snack will be provided after the walk.
This is a free event, open to all ages. In recognition of the 2014 celebrations, the goal is to have 150 participants on the walk to represent the 150th anniversary of the Charlottetown Conference and the importance that meeting played in the building of Canada.
