This is the final week to submit an application to the City of Charlottetown’s Office of Sustainability for the 2014 Community Micro Grant Program. Applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. on May 16.
The Community Micro Grant Program offers small grants of $1,000-$2,000 for projects in Charlottetown that contribute to and enhance community-minded sustainability efforts. The projects must also correspond with the goals and actions of the Integrated Community Sustainability Plan.
In previous years, grants have been awarded to groups delivering programs that engage students in the arts and urban agriculture, and to not-for-profit organizations that have delivered social pilot projects, events and workshops.
All community groups, institutions and organizations are eligible to apply. Proposed projects must be completed by December 31, 2014. To find out more about program requirements and for the application form, visit: http://www.city.charlottetown.pe.ca/microgrant.php .
