The City of Charlottetown formally adopted an Integrated Community Sustainability Plan in February 2010, after a significant level of engagement with the community as well as external stakeholders. The purpose of the plan is to provide the City with a long term, forward thinking strategic plan which provides direction for the community to realize sustainability objectives for its environmental, economic, social and cultural dimensions. The plan includes clear steps for implementation both internally as a Corporation and externally in consultation with the community. The City looks forward to collaborating with its citizenry and interest groups to implement this plan and its underlying principles.
